Going gold
This three-drawer dresser was in need of an update. Several years ago it was popular to have brown/black furniture and this was no exception. Elegant in its time, it no longer created an inviting atmosphere into the bedroom space. Using readily available chalk paint by Rust-oleum, I used two coats of khaki green on the frame and drawers, cocoa on the top and gold wax highlights on the top and edges. A slight distressed looked has created a unique piece that immediately changed the feel of the bedroom. From cold black to warm gold. It continues to bring pleasure in ways previously unimagined.
If you’re thinking of making some changes, it might seem daunting at the beginning, but the end results rarely disappoint.
